COMMITMENTS
Johns Creek is fortunate to have a large variety of active arts and cultural organizations. Read below a sample of what they, the county, and city have said about creating a performing and visual arts center in our city (the original concept was called the Legacy Center).
Fulton County granted funds used for a comprehensive financial feasibility study by Convergent Nonprofit Solutions, to create awareness of the project, and to kick-start a fundraising campaign. Fulton County Commissioner and Legacy Center Task Force Member Liz Hausmann said, "When this wonderful project became more of a reality — and I feel confident it will be a reality — I felt Fulton County needed to be a partner."
The Johns Creek City Council initiated a search for land suitable for a Cultural Arts Center, voted to endorse the proposed Johns Creek Cultural Arts Center as a project important to the future of Johns Creek … Support a capital funding campaign for the development and construction of the Johns Creek Cultural Arts Center … Promote and encourage participation in Johns Creek Cultural Arts Center capital campaign by all Johns Creek residents and business
